DESCRIPTION:The forum will provide an opportunity for business owners to network for possible relationship building and collaboration of resources. Vendors will have the opportunity to meet with representatives from various agencies to present their business models for possible contracting opportunities.\n\nDuring the event\, local small\, minority and disadvantaged businesses will receive an overview of the processes and procedures necessary to do business with local city and county government\, as well as private agencies. Hillsborough County Economic Development staff will also be on-site to assist interested minority\, women and small-business owners begin the process for certification and registration.\n\nAgencies expected to attend the forum include:\n\n-City of Tampa\n\n-HART- Hillsborough County Regional Transit\n\n-Hillsborough County Aviation Authority\n\n-Tampa Port Authority\n\n-Tampa General Hospital\n\n-City of Plant City\n\n-Hillsborough County School Board\n\n-U.S. Small Business Administration\n\n-Hillsborough Community College\n\n-Hillsborough County Commissioners have also been invited to attend.\n\n\n\nThe Open Doors Forum is organized in partnership with the Hillsborough County Disadvantage Minority/Disadvantaged Women-Owned Business Enterprise and Small Business Enterprise (DM/DWBE and SBE) Advisory Committee.
