2019 Shred Fest: Free Document Shredding

Description

Protect yourself from identity theft this tax season by taking advantage of free document shredding at Shred Fest. Hillsborough County Consumer Protection will offer residents professional, on-site shredding of paper documents containing personal or financial information at Veterans Memorial Park in Tampa from 9 to 11 AM on Saturday, March 30.

2019 Shred Fest guests are invited to visit Veterans Memorial Park and Museum, which is free and open to the public daily.

Things to know

• Residents may dispose of up to three containers of paper documents (per person)
• CDs, business/commercial documents, and plastic binders will not be accepted

Things to bring

• Paper copies and duplicates
• Old bank documents
• Old tax records
• Unnecessary receipts and bills
• Expired home and car insurance policy documents
• Junk mail containing personal data
• Old travel documents
• Post-it notes containing passwords
