Event at Cookson Hills Toy Run

Description

Join our quest to provide the "Forgotten" children (newborn to 18 yrs-still in school) and Special Need Individuals (all ages) of East Hillsborough County with Merry Christmas Memories. We invite you, your family, friends & co-workers to bring gifts, help pass those gifts out to the children and become part of their joy as you watch them unwrap the presents you personally delivered into their hands. A unique experience bringing a new "Spirit" to your holiday season.

100% of all presents are passed out unless child is home-bound. 100% of all Monies pay for Special Need gifts and event expenses. NO PERSON RECEIVES A SALARY OR WAGES. Volunteers & Sponsors are needed.

Invited Special Need Individuals and children including parent/guardian receive a free BBQ meal & drink along with the Egypt Temple Shriners famous mini Funnel Cakes. Plenty of great BBQ & sides available for everyone. 

Staging Area: 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM - Veteran's Memorial Park, Hwy 301 south of MLK Blvd. Gathering location for those bringing gifts. Enjoy the Auction & Raffles. 50/50 Raffle & Lottery Scratch-Off tickets on sale. Drawings at 3:30 PM. You don't have to be present to win the Lottery Scratch-Off - $200 worth of scratch-off tickets to winner.

Destination: Leave Veteran's Memorial Park at 1:00 PM for the main event at Evans Park, 1104 N Kingsway Rd & E Hwy 92. You won't believe the reception you get from the kids awaiting your arrival! Presents are passed out by YOU to all the kids & Special Needs. At 2:30 PM you share the joy & happiness as the kids unwrap the gifts you personally delivered.
