Description
The Veterans Council of Hillsborough County, Inc. will be conducting their quarterly Field of Honor Ceremony to honor service men and women who have made the supreme sacrifice during the past three months while engaged in this country's War on Terror in Operations Inherent Resolve and Freedom’s Sentinel.
This quarter's event will be hosted by the Veterans Council of Hillsborough County, Inc. and VFW Post 6287 Ruskin Ladies Auxiliary will present colors. The POW/MIA Chair of Honor will be on display. The names of twelve U. S. Marines killed in a mid-air collision off the coast of Hawaii in January, one U. S. Marine killed in Operation Inherent Resolve and two serviceman killed in Operation Freedom’s Sentinel will be read. The invocation will be offered by Ms. D. Jobe, Veterans Council Chaplain. There will be a fly over with the missing man formation by Ye Mystic AirKrewe followed by a rifle salute and TAPS by the Riverview Detachment of the Marine Corps League.
