Hillsborough County’s Hazard Mitigation Team has partnered with the Florida Division of Emergency Management and Florida’s Foundation to offer a free workshop to residents on strengthening their homes against wind damage. The workshop will be held at two different times and places on Tuesday, March 26, in Sun City Center. No prior registration is required to attend.
The workshop will offer a variety of proven, researched specific actions that can strengthen residents’ homes against the wind, improve their ability to recover, and save them money on their wind insurance premium. During the workshop, a representative from Florida’s Foundation will cover how the type of roof, windows and doors on homes can be improved and translated into savings, peace of mind, and safety.
