Description
In tribute to all who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation, I invite you, your families, and friends to the Memorial Day Remembrance event on Sunday, May 29, 2022 at 10 a.m. at Veterans Memorial Park.
In partnership with the Veterans Council of Hillsborough, our ceremony will feature Gold Star Families and other special guests, followed by refreshments and fellowship. As always, the park and monuments welcome visitors until 5 p.m. daily.
This year marks Hillsborough County’s 25th Annual Memorial Day observance, and for us, it is much more than a kick-off to summertime. Honoring the meaning of Memorial Day, which became a federal holiday in 1971, is true to our mission.
Keynote speaker: Colonel Benjamin R. Jonsson, Commander, 6th Air Refueling Wing, MacDill AFB.
