For the first time, Parks & Recreation is offering a series of outdoor movies at venues throughout Hillsborough County. Some of the films, which play on Friday nights through mid-December, have themes corresponding with upcoming holidays.

The movies are free of charge and begin at 7:30 p.m. Families should bring chairs, blankets and snacks. Some locations will have food trucks or light refreshments available for a donation to the nonprofit Friends of the County Parks.

Here are the movies, the dates they will play, and their locations:

• Lion King (2019); Nov. 19; Gardenville Park and Recreation Center, 6219 Symmes Road

Attendees are encouraged but not required to follow COVID-19 protocols such as social distancing and wearing face coverings.
