In this seminar, people will learn physical techniques of self-defense.
These techniques are designed to allow people to get out of a violent encounter and get to a "Safe Place". The material is taught with attention to situational appropriateness.
During this seminar I will be having the attendees practicing some physical techniques that may be used if they are ever attacked. The level of physical contact made will be about the same as a firm, respectful handshake.
Proper attire for the seminar is whatever attire you typically wear.
If you typically wear sneakers, jeans and a t-shirt, then please wear that.
If you typically low-heels and business attire, then please wear that.
If you wear high-heels and a dress, then please wear that.
The material that I share, to be of benefit to the attendee, must be something that the attendee can do, regardless of what they are wearing at the time.
The only adjustment we will make will be the removal of jewelry.
(I wouldn’t want it damaged)
The Self-Protection Concepts seminar series exists because criminals choose their victims and I believe that only person who should have that much of an impact on a person’s life is that person.
Some of the results of these seminars are that the attendees typically will be safer, more confident and more aware of the opportunities present in the life to which they have been called.
I teach techniques suitable for the occasion. I present material intended to help a person avoid a violent attack, if possible... however if that is not possible, the attendees will be shown things that can allow them to go through a violent encounter, to get to a safe place.
I encourage the attendees to realize they:
Have worth;
Deserve protecting;
Sometimes need protecting;
Can protect themselves;
Will sometimes be the only person that will protect themselves.
I will help them to understand why some people become a victim,
and the steps they can take to avoid becoming a victim, if possible...
I strive to help them be more Self-confident, Aware, Alert, Resilient.
Self-Protection Concepts was founded on the desire to help others not become statistics.
I am here to help.
