Number of Lots/Items: Approximately 401 lots consisting of an estimated 50,978 items.
Estimated Total Value: $563,811.57 (Reserve-Opening Bid Prices)

Source of the Items being Auctioned: All items are from bank safe deposit boxes for which the box rent has not been paid for three consecutive years. If the bank is unsuccessful in reestablishing contact with the renter of the box, returning its contents, the safe deposit box is drilled and the items transferred to the Florida Division of Unclaimed Property. The Division holds contents a minimum of two additional years, and uses various means to attempt to notify the owner of his or her unclaimed property – including media, Internet, and database searches. Items that remain unclaimed are sold at auction, with the sales receipts credited to the owners’ accounts. This amount is always claimable by the owner or the owner’s heirs.

Reserve-Opening Bid Price: The reserve-opening bid price is the minimum starting bid price and is not intended to reflect the fair market value or replacement value of the item(s). In most cases, items sell for much more than the opening bid prices.

Catalog: A free, downloadable catalog is available from the Division of Unclaimed Property at www.FLtreasureHunt.gov, as are photographs of each lot. Hard-copy catalogues are available from Fisher Auction Company at www.fisherauction.com, and will also be available on-site during the auction at $5 each.

Other Registration Information/Requirements: • Registration (on-site) will be required to preview, inspect and/or bid on any item(s). • Registration requires a refundable $100 cash deposit and valid driver’s license, providing full name and current address. Most debit cards are accepted for registration, for a fee. If purchases are made, the fee will be waived. • Payment for purchases is limited to Cash, Travelers Checks, Certified Checks/Funds and most bank debit cards. • There will be a ten percent (10%) Buyer's Premium added to the final bid, sales price of each lot. • Bidding for each lot will begin at the “reserve price.” Absentee bids may be placed, in advance, through Fisher Auction Company at 954-942-0917 or www.fisherauction.com.
