Becky McDaniels, Owner/ Center Director
Becky earned her Bachelor's Degree with honors in Elementary Education from Kappa Delta Pi at the University of Tampa in 1997. Commencing her teaching career in 2002, Becky achieved remarkable success with her students, attaining top scores in the county on the math FCAT for two consecutive years. In 2012, she was honored to assume the role of Math Coach/Curriculum Specialist for the Hillsborough and Pinellas County Charter Schools, further enriching her education career.
Fast forward to 2013, she launched her first Mathnasium center, Mathnasium of Brandon. Since then, she has achieved numerous milestones, including receiving the Mathnasium Bronze Ribbon within two years of opening, a recognition she continued to receive for three consecutive years. Two of her instructors were awarded the Instructor Of The Year by Mathnasium Home Office. In 2018, she was presented with the Business of the Year award by the Valrico Fishhawk Chamber of Commerce and The Artichoke Award by the founder of Mathnasium. She is currently on her second term serving with the Mathnasium Franchise Advisory Committee, celebrating a solid decade of helping students and families in our community in 2023. In November of 2023, Becky opened her second Mathnasium franchise in Riverview to better serve the broader community of Tampa Bay area.
A Brandon native, Becky is an active community member. She previously served on the Valrico Fishhawk Chamber of Commerce and recently joined the Riverview Chamber of Commerce. Instilling character and confidence in young individuals is one of Becky's core values, evident in the dedicated efforts of her team at Mathnasium. Her passion for education lies in empowering students and their families to be successful and achieve their goals.
Becky emphasizes that learning math is not merely preparation for future classes or tests but an opportunity to develop strategic thinking while making it fun!
