Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Veteran Approved Network!
 
The Greater Riverview Chamber of Commerce celebrated a multi-chamber event for the launch and Grand Opening for valued new member, Veteran Approved Network (VAN), with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony held on Thursday, May 25, 2023!  The celebration was held at 1916 Irish Pub and all attendees enjoyed complimentary light appetizers and a cash bar with live music playing.  Exclusive membership discounts were offered, along with a sneak peek of VAN station magazine.  Several VAN Board of Directors members were present, along with many volunteers who joined fellow Chamber members in the celebration.

VAN (Veteran Approved Network) is focused on bringing civilian and military/veteran communities together in an atmosphere of respect and honor. Through their Business Memberships, they are able to provide local veterans with free events, health and wellness resources, business discounts, and a vetted network of services and business contacts. VAN was founded by Board President, Toni Hedstrom.  The remainder of the Board of Directors includes Steve Coker, Lorna Petchey, Jeff Ackerman, Chaplain Don Hinst, Vanessa Martin, and Jean Uffalussy.

At the Ribbon Cutting celebration, there was a Proclamation delivered by GRCC Ambassador, Joe Eletto of Century 21 Beggins.  He recognized May 25, 2023, to be Veteran Approved Network Day, and asked attendees to duly note this occasion and remember at Veteran Approved Network, “Veterans Get Connected!”
